GALACTIC TRUST

In 2023 we partnerted with Galactic Advisors. Galactic Advisors is a third-party cybersecurity firm that partners with IT providers such as ResTech Solutions and focuses on security from third-party assessments to compliance. As part of this partnership, Galactic Advisors regularly audits our internal systems. In early April 2024 we completed the first stage of our security journey and acheived Trust Level 1.

Every day is a holiday and some fun and strange ones are out there. Let's take a look at a few that are coming up this month.

Fun Fact: Did you know that on this day, June 1, 1880, the first payphone went into service in the US. Phone calls were paid for by handing over cash to an attendant. The first coin-operated payphone wouldn’t come into existence for another nine years!

America The Beautiful Week - June 3-9, 2024

America the Beautiful Week is marked in the first full week of June to honor the song “America the Beautiful” and celebrate all patriotic Americans. This year, it is held from June 3 to 9. Can you imagine that the lyricist and the composer of ‘America the Beautiful’ never met before they died? This revered song was composed by Katharine Lee Bates and organist and choirmaster Samuel A. Ward. The song was a top contender for the United States official anthem and favored over ‘The Star-Spangled Banner.’ But, the latter was chosen as the national anthem in 1931.

National Email Week - June 10-16, 2024

National Email Week is celebrated every year in the second week of June. This year, it will take place from June 10 to 16. We know we’re not exaggerating when we say that emails have changed the world. They have touched the lives of nearly every person on this planet and all for the better. Emails are now the preferred way of communicating and they can also be the easiest, most low-cost, and most effective way of communicating. We’re not quite sure what our lives would look like without emails and frankly, we don’t want to live in a world without them!

International Olympic Day - June 23, 2024

International Olympic Day is celebrated on June 23 each year and was first observed in 1948. The Olympics is the world’s largest international multi-sport event held every four years. Thousands of athletes and sportspersons from all across the world take part in various games and sports. The modern Olympic Games are inspired by the Greek’s ancient Olympic Games held in Olympia, from the eighth century B.C. to the fourth century A.D. The first modern Summer Olympic Games were held in 1896 in Athens, Greece. Since its foundation, International Olympic Day has widened its audience and has adapted to various local specificities.

Social Media Day - June 30, 2024

First, there was the telephone, then the fax machine, and then social media — a revolutionary way of communicating. Since its creation, people have been able to connect with each other like never before. Friends and family can connect at any moment, and marketers have been able to reach consumers in an entirely new fashion. In fact, people use social media for an average of 144 minutes every single day. Because of its impact on society over the years, Social Media Day was born on June 30, and it has continued to grow in popularity ever since.
